Merry Christmas, New Year…New Plans

My daughter had this image made while she was in Japan.  It is an awesome caricature of my wife and I just after we made the purchase of our first RV.  Love it.

Nothing is going to make us happier than living in our RV and staying wherever the road takes us.  That is why we have accelerated our plans from 2020 to the fall of 2017!!

We have a lot to do in less than a year but will be ready.  We have done tones of research and are now going to start our downsizing aggressively come the new year.

For the next week or so, we will enjoy family and the Christmas season,  have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year everyone.

Campground Review : Herkimer

Very  nicely kept trailer park.  We stayed here for three nights in 2016 and were very impressed with the grounds and the staff.  Only a few miles down the road is the city of Herkimer where you can get your supplies.  As for KOA’s, this was one of the nicer one’s we have stayed at and will definitely go again.  The staff were very friendly and helpful, the grounds were kept beautifully and there were many activities on site to take part in whether you have kids or not.  Just down the road is the diamond mines where you can go and dig for your own lucky diamond.

Loved it here, check them out :  Herkimer KOA

Campground Review : Country Hills

Country Hills Campground, New York State

Could not say anything bad about this spot.  Beautiful grounds run by a husband and wife who take such good care of the property and their guests.  You could not beat the price for a one night stopover.  Great location, just a couple miles of the US 81.  Beautiful pond in the middle filled with giant trout (Catch and Release Only).  Call ahead, limited spots but well worth it for a beautiful, quiet rest.

Campground Review : Gettysburg

Review : Gettysburg Campground, Gettysburg Pennsylvania, US

Giving them a five out of five because I had a fantastic time here.  Great spot, only minutes away from the civil war battlefields either by car or bike.  Plenty of sites and this place along the creek. Just a few miles from the town of Gettysburg where
there is so much to do and see.  If you are into
History or American History you will love it here.  We stayed here for five nights September 2016 to attend a Titanium Rally and did not get to see  everything this town.  There is so much history here and so much to see.
The campground was very nice with many spots available.  The staff were very friendly.  We had a site with only partial hookups, all but sewer but they like many other campgrounds offer a honey wagon service.  If you are a US history buff and want to see actual remnants of the civil war then this is the place for you.
